A Typical Coaching Session

In each coaching session, there are three key areas that will be covered.


Learning – You will have homework for each coaching session.  This usually involves reading and answering questions designed to help you think about how the learning idea can be applied to your business. I will often use our FocalPoint coaching methodology supplemented by other resources and tools.


Action Commitments – Through the lesson material you will decide how you want to apply the lessons to your business.  Nothing will change in your business until you take action.  This is the most important part of coaching, that you take a different action (stop something, start something, more of something or less of something) so that you will see different results


Accountability – You get to report back how you have done in following through on your action commitments.  Sometimes when you fail to take action your coach will light a fire, and when you complete commitments, your coach will reflect and celebrate with you, reinforcing your success habits.
